Apache Behavioral Health Services (ABHS), Navajo County Educational Service Agency (ESA) and Whiteriver Unified School District (WUSD) are the official organizers and sponsors of the Innovation Nation 2016 STEM Festival.
ABHS is involved in the lives of students throughout WUSD and BIE schools on the White Mountain Apache Reservation. The ABHS STEM program is designed to inspire and help at risk youth to succeed in everyday life. ABHS is committed to providing mentoring, education, community, support, supplies, tools and donations to help each child thrive and achieve goals well beyond even their own expectations.

Innovation Nation STEM Festival 2016 is sponsored by the Navajo County Educational Service Agency. The Navajo County (AZ) Education Service Agency (ESA) services the 14 public school districts, 2 charter schools, and BIA grant schools of Navajo county. The ESA employs an educational specialist in STEM education, and the Social Sciences.

Innovation Nation STEM Festival 2016 will be held this year at the Chief Alchesay Activity Center in the Whiteriver Unified School District. WUSD has a number of STEM programs throughout the district. From elementary through high school, students participate in STEM projects through an embedded curriculum or project based learning STEAM labs.

Helping EveryDay Youth provides community and school-based treatment programs that address the external behaviors of youth displaying serious emotional and behavioral disturbances. Our programs are designed to inspire and help at-risk youth to succeed in everyday life. We are committed to providing mentoring, education, community support, supplies, tools, and donations to help each child thrive and achieve goals well beyond their own expectations.

The Arizona SciTech Festival features diverse, interactive activities and experiments for all ages. Attendees will enjoy the Science of Chocolate Experiment, the Impaired Goggle activity, and have a chance to sign-up for competitions such as the Famous Gecko Art and Coloring Contest, as well as enter the "Celebrate My Drive" teen PSA Video competition for a chance to win one of numerous generous scholarships. The AZ SciTech booth also features the annual STEM Fun Book, the FREE STEM Career Brochures, and other fun activities to win many prizes. This is the booth to pick up your official AZ SciTech Schedule of Events where over 800 exciting Festival events are listed to take place all throughout Arizona.

The Arizona Science Center specializes in informal science education for children. We provide outreach programs, such as after school STEM clubs and camps, for schools across Arizona. We also offer professional development services for teachers. Our booth will have an assortment of hands-on activities related to STEM, as well as brochures outlining all the services and programs we offer. For our science demonstrations we will be doing a variety of entertaining science experiments.

Founded in 2006, Science Foundation Arizona (SFAz) is a 501(c)(3), public/private non-profit organization created from the collaboration of three Arizona CEO business organizations – Greater Phoenix Leadership, Southern Arizona Leadership, and the Flagstaff 40. These CEO groups made a five-year commitment to fund SFAz’s core operating costs. Those funds are now raised through corporate and individual philanthropic donations.
SFAz’s purpose is to diversify and strengthen Arizona’s economy by: •Investing in scientific and engineering areas of greatest economic importance to Arizona •Facilitating strategic collaborations between Arizona research institutions and industry •Supporting effective education in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) •Attracting and retaining world-class jobs and talent At Innovation Nation SFAZs booth will have a hands-on robotic challenge and a hands-on astronomy challenge. |
